Donk, Box & Bubble Magazine recently featured our custom front wheel drive lift struts. We have these struts available for most front wheel drive cars on the road. Installation is simple and a detailed instruction manual is included.
When lifting a front wheel drive car, the biggest problem most installers run in to is the tire coming in contact with the lower spring perch on the strut. The tire will rub on the spring perch and depending on the rim size, the rims may not even bolt on to the car.
Universal Car Lifts custom front wheel drive lift struts provide extra clearance under the strut spring perch. The lower spring mount is relocated and the lift is built in to the mounting system. The struts feature CNC machined alignment adjusters to get your wheels riding straight after installation.
Lift struts ride similar to stock. Installation is fairly simple. Most installations can be done with basic hand tools and a floor jack. You will need a spring compressor to install your factory springs to the custom struts. We sell spring compressors that work great for this application. You can also rent spring compressors from most auto parts stores or simply bring your struts to a mechanic and have them install the springs for you.
